deployment

So I haven't been on here in forever but her is the only place I can say safely about vincents deployment... Well hes leaving Sunday the 14th at 130 and his phone will be shut off Monday. He is going to a very dangerous place and wont have internet too much so what i hear will be here not Facebook because its not very safe. Vince will be back in a year so everyday will be that much more precious. Today at his farewell ceremony his family came out for it and we spent the day with them, Vanessa just loves her aunt Jamie she loves to suck on her face, she doesn't do it too often. They bought us lunch and took us out to dinner at ihop which was nice and we also chat about what we were planning on doing to getting me moved out to Utah while Vince is deployed. Vincent got a fathers blessing from his dad before dinner, it was a nice prayer and Vanessa talked through the whole thing we all laughed after. After dinner we went back to the hotel they were staying to say family prayer, Sara said it and during it she got real quiet and I was like "why did she stop talking?" i took a peak and she started to cry than his mom started and he gave his youngest sister a hug and she started crying. Makes you think how much this 12 year old has heard and how big a difference moving to a different state and going to war is to someone this young. We all got our hugs and we left, tomorrow before he leaves we plan on getting Vanessa a build a bear and hope to find more books to record his voice on them since he wont have Skype and i would like her to know who this man is that mommy is kissing and hugging at the airport at r and r and after deployment.

Updates from our family

I'm 36 weeks pregnant now and now its just time for the count down I'm so excited for her to come. For our Christmas we got the best gift early; my mom sent me a huge box full of presents it was so nice to have some presents under our tree that was given to us by the army. For our New Years Eve we moved all our big furniture into our new apartment and I must say I love this place compared to our old apartment. There is so much room except our bedroom is a little smaller but Vanessa will have a nice room to sleep in and its cheap. After getting everything moved we got some things ready, Vince has his own large closet to put everything army related out of the way and Vanessa's crib is all set up yay. Thats everything for now we'll have some more updates coming soon

updates on pregnancy

Vanessa is 25 weeks she measures at 13 1/2 inches and weighs around a pound and a half. She feels so big and I know shes only going to get bigger. We plan on naming our daughter Vanessa Jessica Nielson; yes its defiantly a mouth full but I love it! She already got her daddy around her finger while still inside me. She kicks a lot now and she kicks especially when her daddy is around and when we are going to sleep. Right now I'm starting to get ready for fall and soon we're going to buy pumpkins to carve for an activity. Going to be making plenty of recipes from my cook books and lots of warm things

Vince is getting promoted Oct. 1 to a PFC (Private First Class) E3 yay were super excited about it and he should be getting a metal too but you never know till its in your hands. I'm at 23 weeks Wednesday and were finally finding out the sex; I think I'm having a boy and we'll find out if I was right. Vince doesn't care what we have as long as its healthy and I keep going back to do I want to dress her up or do I want to have a sporty boy lol who knows. I'm just excited to be a mom yay and my child is now kicking all the time, my bladder mainly lol I'm also having cravings now which is good. I love all the kicking and vince love feeling it and talking to my tummy its nice after hes been working for hours.

updates on the pregnancy

I haven't been on here a long time but i thought i would update the family and friends about my pregnancy so far. I'm now at 18 weeks and starting to feel little movement while I'm on vacation in utah. My baby is the size of a bell pepper and is still giving me heartburn but thats normal. I'm having another appointment in september to find out the sex. I'm not picky about what I'm having its either do i want to be dressing her up in cute dresses or cute boy clothes I haven't decided because we want just a healthy baby.

Update on my pregnancy: I'm now at 10 weeks and getting my first ultrasound; most likely will be doing this myself because Vincent has to work. We go to Walmart every so often and every time I want to look at the baby clothes and the little dresses and we've decided on getting a stroller when there older and can sit in them without the carseat but we got a free crib from my mom that was Paige's and the rocking chair from my mom. Were going to be looking for apartments with a wash and dryer hook up for our next apartment so that we can save money there and were going to start looking for garage sales for baby stuff so we don't need to spend so much since kids grow so quickly. I can tell my husband is excited about the baby and this part of our lives and he loves to snuggle and talk gibberish to my tummy or play with my cat Riley. Life is good would be better without bills but I think everyone wishes that lol

Jessica & Vincent Nielson Wedding

Saturday, December 19, 2009 - Jessica married her best friend and is happy to be Mrs. Neilson. It's so cute to hear her say, "my husband...." or him say, "my wife..." I was with them both while she was getting her glasses fixed and they asked her what her name was. She stuttered and wasn't quite sure how to answer. It made me laugh. Haven't all us girls been through that before? But today they took their marriage license to the county clerk's office then headed to Hill Air Force base to get the paperwork through so they'll recognize him as married. She has an official "Army" (wife) I.D. now! They report to Fort Carson in Colorado Springs on Jan 11th. They are both very happy and so fun to be around.

Here are some photos from the wedding/reception at Wheeler Farm in Salt Lake City. Most of the photos are on facebook.
